ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7, 2025, all Veterans and the community-at-large are invited to the dedication and unveiling ceremony of the new 16-feet-tall bronze Union statue that will be installed on the northwest lawn of the Old Hopkins County Courthouse. This will be a historical dedication ceremony to help kick off the Veterans Day weekend! Our special guest will be Commissioner Whitney P. Allen, Jr. from the KY Department of Veteran Affairs in Frankfort. Local and state elected officials will also be on hand. The Department of KY Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will be donning their Union soldier uniforms and participating in the ceremony. Song performances by the MNHHS Chorus.
