Complexity and frustration are two words our clients use when complying with Family and Medical Leave Acts. If you have felt the frustration of trying to understand FMLA or developing a program that works for your organization, perhaps we can help.
This session will discuss both the Federal and Wisconsin FMLA.
We will review the areas where you have to make decisions as to how you are going to establish your policy. Examples showing consequences of different decisions – measurement year, substitution options, etc - will be provided to help you make informed decisions. Finally, you will be provided with a sample policy along with a variety of forms and resources to help you navigate and administer this important employee benefit.
Even if you have an FMLA policy in place, this session may help you:
Have a more thorough understanding of the law and the areas in which you have options
Be more comfortable with the conversations you have with employees regarding their rights, responsibilities, and benefits
Understand your supervisor training obligations to better protect them from personal liability concerns
