The Capitol Social and Monona Terrace are excited to partner to bring you a relaxed, fun-filled dance experience all while soaking in the beautiful summer rooftop views.Never tried salsa before? No worries! We’ll kick things off at 3 pm with a beginner-friendly lesson, so everyone can join the fun. From 4 to 6 pm, DJ Luis will keep the energy high with a mix of Bachata, Salsa, and Cumbia, perfect for both seasoned dancers and those just looking to enjoy the music. Come as you are, grab a seat to enjoy the vibes, or hit the dance floor for social dancing!Program notes: Remember to wear comfy clothes, bring a towel, and don’t forget your water bottle and sunscreen; shade is limited on the rooftop and the rooftop is made up of stone tiles.Bio: Luis ArmacanquiA native of Lima, Perú, Luis Armacanqui was born and raised around the sounds of Afro-Latin music for as long as he can remember. However, it was in early 2011 that he found the determination to finally manifest his love for Salsa and Bachata dancing. In 12 immersive and constant years of traveling all over the world, Luis amassed a wealth of knowledge in the areas of musicology and functional technique.
