This is part of Friends of Hammonasset's "Hammonasset Day", held at Hammonasset State Park, celebrating nature and Native American culture. The event will be free, held behind the nature center where you will find many exhibitors sharing information about the wildlife found in CT, along with Native American dancers, and many special programs including live birds of prey. TAGGING will begin at 9 AM and last until around noon, depending on how many Monarchs are coming through (and how long tags last). There will be some nets available to use; feel free to bring your own! Learn about the Monarch migration, and how to safely capture and tag a butterfly.

Directions: I-95 to exit 62, south on connector and cross Route 1 to enter Hammonasset State Park.  Follow signs to Meigs Point Nature Center.  Meet at the Nature Center.
