- **Event Description**: Join the Heritage Center and Alzheimer's Assocation - Wisconsin Chapter for a morning to understand your own brain and experience staying health on Dane County Parks trails. The Alzheimer's Association will  provide you with a research-based program grounded in the latest science, including findings from the U.S. POINTER study, that explores how lifestyle choices can support brain health at every age. Participants will be introduced to the 10 Healthy Habits for Your Brain and guided in creating a personalized, practical action plan built around small, sustainable steps for everyday life. After the presentation the Heritage Center staff will take you out on a 30 minute hike on flat terrain at Lake Farm County Park to embrace the brain healthy habits you just explored. 


Program includes:

Learn about brain-healthy habits such as physical and cognitive exercise and nutrition
Understand why brain health matters at every stage of life
Build a personalized action plan for long-term brain health
Enjoy community on trail together 
Explore Dane County Parks and how you can enjoy the outdoors in your brain-healthy lifestyle
Cost: Free*
Age: Adults

Registration is required. The All-Terrain Wheelchair is available for use during this event, to reserve the chair please indicate in your registration that you'd like to use it. 


*There is a suggested donation of $5 towards our environmental education program that funds the staffing for this program and to keep fees low for those who need it.
