The art of magic has long been a passion of Joe’s ever since he saw his first magic show at the young age of five. This fueled his love for the ancient art and by ten years old he was performing all around his home state of South Dakota. Over the years he has befriended numerous famous magicians and has twice had the privilege of being invited to the world famous Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood, CA (aka the Magic Castle). As an active member of the Society of American Magicians and over 25 years of performing experience Joe has developed a show that is unique, comical, and entertaining for all ages.
As a young magician his first passion was close-up and strolling magic. At an early age he separated himself from other magicians by developing a stage show that was both big and interactive. Audience participation directs each show and allows for a continuously changing theatrical experience.
Joe grew up in a family of 6 where he was the baby and favorite of course, “wink.”. If you asked any of his family, the phrase “pick a card” or “watch this new trick” were frequently muttered requests. That being said, everyone was supportive of Joe’s dreams of becoming a famous magician.
Along with traveling the U.S. as a magician, Joe is also a registered nurse at an intensive care unit in his hometown. Performing magic for patients has proven to be helpful in lifting their spirits as well as recovery time.
In recent years Joe’s lovely wife Brianna and adorable bunny Bailey have joined the show. They frequently put up with getting sawed in half, popping out of boxes, and battling long days on the road. They are crucial members to the Magic Joe team.
With comedy at the core of every performance Joe has developed a unique show that includes illusions, mind reading, fire eating, hypnotism and mystery for all. Audience interaction plays a large role which helps make each performance new and exciting every time. Be sure to have Magic Joe Productions at your next event!
