SLOW, SMOOTH and RHYTHMIC is our goal.

We will use Alignment to isolate particular muscles and to move them in different ways. Our goal is to move in as many different ways as possible.

We will use the Awareness of our movement to ask the question: how does that feel? What muscles made that movement?

We will use the Breath as our metronome, to set the rhythm of our movement.

This class focuses on balance and strength, the movements are more similar to slow dance than traditional yoga. You may find that you discover some new muscles during these sessions.

The location is somewhat out of the way. But it is certainly worth it. We have a wonderful pavilion for rain and a great slab floor to work on slow, rhythmic balance movements. We have friendly neighbors that include rabbits, geese, cranes and hawks. The setting sun is glorious and it's right next to the Capital City Bike Trail. Some of us ride our bikes to the sessions.

This Meetup will be at William Lunney Lake Farm Park pavilion. The pavilion is a short walk from the parking lot at Lussier Family Heritage Center, right next to the Capital City Bike trail.

There is a general waiver to practice so please either fill one out ahead of time or come early enough to fill one out before class. The teacher will usually try to arrive 15 mins early.

A donation of $2- 10 per class is suggested. Both virtual and cash payments can be accepted. Funds collected go into funding our free classes and bringing more free yoga to our community. See below for donation information for this class. If it is necessary to cancel class, we will cancel at least an hour before class. Hope to see you all there!
