An active, community-focused space that hosts school groups, pop-up exhibits, author talks, public programs and more; located in the US Bank Building on Madison's Capitol Square. Although intended for beginners, the program is open to all skill levels and abilities, from newcomers to those more knowledgeable of sewing and embroidery. Guests ages 13–17 will need to attend with a parent or guardian. Although the program runs until 4:30 PM, participants do not have to stay the entire time. If makers finish work on their piece before the program ends, they are free to leave early. WisHistory will provide all project materials, including needles, fabric, thread, beads and more. Participants bring the creativity! Attendees will be able to view a limited number of reproductions of clothing pieces from the WisHistory collections, as well as newly designed clothing created for the Inspired! Historic Fashions and The Emerging Designers They Influenced event. ??????? ??? ???????? ?????? Visitor parking is not available onsite at the U. S. Bank Plaza building. Program participants should plan to utilize public parking options. Public parking is available within two blocks of the U.S. Bank Plaza building through meters and garages. The nearest parking garage is the Capitol Square North Garage, located at 218 E. Mifflin Street, and approximately a 5-minute walk from the U.S. Bank Plaza building. When entering the U.S. Bank building, please enter the building through the central South Pinckney Street entrance.
