HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Semper Fi Community Task Force (SFCTF) of North Alabama is proud to announce it is hosting the 19th Annual Heroes’ Week, to be conducted November 6-12, 2026. The SFCTF
all-volunteer staff is excited to host our guests – military Heroes, and their spouses or caregivers.

These Heroes represent various branches of the military and will come from across our Country to enjoy a week of camaraderie and recognition. Heroes’ Week provides a unique opportunity for the Tennessee Valley/North Alabama Community to show its deep appreciation and recognition to these men and women for their humbling sacrifices while defending our Nation and the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Our guests will be honored with Welcome Ceremonies at the Huntsville International Airport and the Westin Hotel. Other events throughout the week include a parade of boats on Lake Guntersville, as well as lunches, dinners, and special entertainment hosted by local organizations, churches, and sponsors.

Guests will be greeted by a variety of local community and military leaders as they walk through a flag line supported by the Patriot Guard Riders and extended by many community members, community partners, and volunteers. We invite the community, our community partners, volunteers, and the media to join us at the Huntsville International Airport on Friday, November 6, to welcome our guests. Please arrive by 2:45 pm so we are all in place before our guests proceed along the flag line.

Following the Welcome Ceremony, our guests will be given a full law enforcement and motorcycle escort to the Westin Hotel at Bridge Street, where they will receive another welcome from more members of the community, as well as additional community partners and volunteers.

The subsequent welcome opportunity at the Westin has an estimated start time of 4:00 PM. Please arrive by 3:30PM or earlier.

All times are subject to change due to the nature of air travel.

Members of the media may contact Jennifer Holliday (listed above) or Roseanna Cox, Community Relations Lead, at ohstx2step@yahoo.com.
