Dachsland Krampuslauf (Badgerland Krampus Run) 6th annual parade will kick off on Library Mall at 5 pm, Saturday December 13th, 2025. Meet between Memorial Library (728 State Street) and the University Book Store (711 State Street). There will be light entertainment starting around 4:30 pm. The parade goes up the State Street sidewalks, around the square, and ends at an awesome pub, Prost! MSN.
In addition to Krampus and his Krampus friends, you're likely to see St. Nick and some Angels, Perchten, Hexen, and other Alpine winter folklore figures. Musicians will lead the way!
Other traditional folklore figures and those in attire of the season are welcome to participate in the parade.
While many spectators prefer to join us on the "run," really more of a meander, you may wish instead to sit somewhere and watch us go by, such as:
-Benches along State Street
-Window seats at your favorite State Street dining establishment
Beware, you never know who will catch a Krampus' eye!

Rough Outline:
-4:30 pm - Start arrivals. Light entertainment
-4:50 pm - Welcome and a few precautions
-4:55 pm - Official photo opportunities
-5:00 pm - Krampuslauf heads up State Street towards the Capitol
Square
-5:30 pm - Short stop for photo ops
-5:45 pm - Krampuslauf continues around the Capitol Square and to Prost! MSN on E. Washington Ave where Dachsland Krampuslauf 2025 ends and dining* opportunities await. Be sure to ask to sit with us
*by dining we're not referring to children... we prefer the schnitzel with gravy. Oh, and pay your own way.
