Join Temple Beth El for a special evening of community, nature, music, and Havdalah at beautiful Picnic Point on Lake Mendota.

We’ll gather at the entrance to Picnic Point at 5:00 pm and walk together to Firepit #6 at the point, where we’ll enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors filled with singing, music around the campfire, s’mores, a scavenger hunt for kids of all ages, and a community Havdalah celebration.

Bring a sack dinner for yourself/your family to enjoy it surrounded by stunning lake views and the natural beauty of the Lakeshore Preserve. Temple Beth El will provide all materials for s’mores.

Firepit #6 is approximately 0.75 miles (1.2 km) from the entrance to Picnic Point along a dirt path and takes about 15 minutes to walk. Please plan to carry in (and out) anything you bring.

We recommend bringing:

Your dinner (and utensils)
Sunscreen
Bug repellent
Filled Water bottle
Comfortable walking shoes
Optional camping chair if preferred
There is seating available at the fire circle.

As part of helping preserve this beautiful natural area, anything we carry in must also be carried out.
