Reid’s Tavern at 317 Cotton Avenue for a “write your reps” letter writing event ahead of Crossover Day, the date by which most bills must pass from one chamber to the other in order.

We’re grateful to our hosts, J Reid’s Tavern, for opening up their space to us before they’re open to the general public. This is one of many downtown Macon restaurants that is housed in a building that benefitted from the historic tax credit program. Historic tax credits are the "secret sauce" in Macon’s revitalization, and the $30M annual cap is insufficient for the demand. Without an increase to $60M via HB 376, these developers will take their jobs and investment dollars elsewhere. We cannot afford to let downtown Macon’s revival stall.

Come join us for a sneak peek of Macon’s newest family-friendly restaurant and help us advocate to increase the tax credit cap from $30 to $60 million. We’ll provide snacks, postcards, pens, and talking points. You bring your love for Macon and its continued preservation and revitalization!
