The ESRY Awards are MRT’s annual award ceremony that celebrates two honorees, one for Outstanding Service and one for Outstanding Support as well as the winners of Regional Broadway World Awards.  The ESRY award winners will be announced live this event.  This year’s Broadway World Award winners are Brandon McShaffrey (Director) and Adam Spencer (Scenic Design) for their work on CLUE: ON STAGE.

The Esry Awards are named in honor of esteemed and generous Earnest and Norma Esry. From the early days of Maples Repertory Theatre, Earnest and Norma were both great advocates and great supporters of the creation of a professional theatre in Upstate Missouri.  Through the years they faithfully attended shows and donated money to support MRT.  At a time when MRT desperately needed the funds, they gifted a piece of real estate, which laid the foundation for the future of the organization.  Ernest and Norma unselfishly shared their abundance in order to better their community, by enriching the culture.

Maples Repertory Theatre is proud to honor their legacy of support and giving with this annual award, given in their good name.
