This immersive program offers detailed guidance on developing and managing high‑quality public art projects in a range of public spaces, while also supporting participants in the early stages of concept development for their own potential public art proposals.PLEASE NOTE: To attend this workshop, you must go to BOTH days.Public art enriches built and natural environments, engages communities, strengthens the local arts sector and creates opportunities for cultural tourism. Across the two days, participants will explore these ideas through a visual presentation, open discussion and a series of structured creative activities.Day One delivers practical information and advice for developing and managing quality public art projects in public spaces.Day Two focuses on individual concept development for temporary public art. Working within the Botanic Gardens, participants will gather natural materials to inform their creative process and explore site‑responsive approaches. Each artist will have the opportunity to develop a maquette/ small scale artwork suitable for future grant or commissioning opportunities.Day One Saturday 8th August 10am - 3pmDay Two Sunday 9th August 10 - 3pmBotanical Gardens Conference Room (opposite the café)$60 per person (morning tea and lunch provided)BOOK TICKETS NOW!IMPORTANT - Please carefully read the terms and conditions before making a booking:• All program attendees must be in good health prior to attending the session (eg. no runny noses, coughs, temperatures).
