We are delighted to welcome guest lecturer Mary Arnold-Forster to CAT during our Sustainable Architecture postgraduate teaching week.

In this Lecture and Q&A, Mary, director of Mary Arnold-Forster Architects (MAFA) will be discussing the work of her practice and their self-published magazine Alder. She will detail how Alder magazine has enabled MAFA to reach out and create a network of makers, crafts people and manufacturers throughout Scotland and explore how the firm has gone on to use these sustainable natural materials in their projects to create a greater sense of place.

---Speaker bio---
Mary Arnold-Forster Architects (MAFA) is a Highland architecture studio working across rural locations throughout Scotland and the UK. It was formed by Mary in 2016 to create quiet, humane, restrained and beautifully crafted places and spaces based on a rigorous study of site, context, landscape and brief to try to create a backdrop for people’s work, their art and lives. MAFA’s work spans from the Lake District in the south to Orkney in the North.
