Happy New Year! Let's have a bit of a hiking blowout and walk off the excesses of the festive season :)
This hike is 20km and 530m of ascent, so we'll need to keep moving, but then, it is January :) We'll begin by wandering through the gorgeous Hafren Forest before striking directly up and to the summit of Plynlimon or Pumlumon Fawr, the highest mountain in the Cambrian range. Then it's a ridge walk passing both the source of the River Severn and the River Wye and taking in the numerous ancient cairns along the way. We'll then descend along the Severn Way and back through the forest to the start point. There will be waterfalls :)
