✨ Class Overview
Discover the art of mosaics in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Over two sessions, you’ll learn the direct method of mosaic-making, from preparing your board and cutting tiles to grouting and finishing your piece.
🖌️ Session 1: Sunday, January 11 (3 hours)
Bring an 8” x 10” simple design or pattern of your choice—or select from designs we’ll provide.
Supplied materials:
- 8” x 10” board
- Tiles
- Adhesive
- Loan of tile cutters & tweezers
Lesson includes:
- Preparing your board
- Applying your design
- Cutting & placing tiles
- Best practices for mosaic creation
Homework: You’ll take your project home (with tiles, cutters, and glue) to complete it at least 24 hours before the next session.
🪨 Session 2: Sunday, January 25 (2 hours)
Return with your completed mosaic for the grouting process. (Please bring back cutters, tweezers, and any unused tiles.)
Supplied materials:
- Grout powder
- Mixing & rinsing containers
- Sponges
- Disposable apron & gloves
Lesson includes:
- Grouting your project
- Clean-up techniques
- Instructions for final polish at home after grout dries
