Story time with a twist! Join instructor Olivia Fiore-Carpenter for a  weekend workshop as we read through a classic children’s book and bring it to life! Your child will walk away with a handmade craft costume, a chance to perform, and maybe some new friends! Come on down and jump in the fun! 

Students will be read a children's book - If You Give A Mouse A Cookie  by Laura Numeroff and then create craft costumes and props to act out the story for their pick-up person. Using creative drama students will add and discover new parts of the story to explore.

- Warm up Body, voice, imagination
- Read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie
- Re-read story with students moving through the story
- Play a word association game- If you were the mouse what would being a cookie make you think of for example?
- Create Mouse Ears 
- Construction paper, glue sticks, markers
- Create Cardboard props- Cookie, milk, three student chosen items
- Cardboard, scissors, markers
- Using costumes and props play re through the story again
- Perform for pick-up person
