Soups, Sauces, and Shepherds Pie ~ The basics of making a good soup and sauce

On a winter day there is nothing more cozy than a warm bowl of soup with fresh baked bread. Topping a shepherds pie with warm coffee, maple, mint gravy or a berry sauce on your chicken breast or possibly a bacon bleu cheese sauce over your steak!

These recipes will be shared in great detail and given to the workshop attendees. Staring a soup from scratch, how to make a chicken, vegetable and beef broth and proper storage for later use. Then adding ingredients, companion flavors that you may have left over, on hand or easy access to. The point of the workshop is to gain confidence in blending flavors. To become acquainted with combinations of meats and vegetables, beams and noodles, and why your ingredients are of the utmost importance. We will also discuss herbs and how and why you want to blend them for health.

Our signature Coffee, Maple Mint sauce will be made that was a classic addition to Shepherds Pie.

So we will discuss how to make Shepherds Pie!
Baking it and freezing it if you wish for later... and enjoy a taste during the workshop.

Guest will take home a jar of the Coffee, Maple Mint Sauce and the recipes for the dishes that we discuss.
