Symphonic Orchestra - Mahler 9

At this special concert, three conservatoires join forces to perform Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 9: Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Aachen, Conservatoire royal de Liège and Conservatorium Maastricht.

Mahler’s 9th is a deeply personal work, filled with farewell, longing, and contemplation. Written at the end of his life, it takes the audience on a powerful journey of passion and reflection, an ultimate musical meditation on life itself.
Under the baton of conductor Arjan Tien, young musicians from three countries bring this masterful score to life. The large orchestral forces, intense and international ensemble playing, and the emotional depths of Mahler’s music combine to make this project a truly unique experience.
