Die Ska-Band THE TOASTERS ist eine Institution und wird vom legendären New Yorker CBGB Club zu ihren besten 20 Bands gezählt. Gegründet wurde sie in der New Yorker Lower East Side 1981 von Robert „Bucket“ Hingley. Seitdem haben THE TOASTERS neun Studioalben und zahlreiche EPs und Singles herausgebracht. Sie gelten als Begründer der Ska-Explosion der 90er in den USA und haben dabei ihren eigenen Stil entwickelt. Damit beeinflussten sie viele weitere Bands der Folgejahre.
