Participants who attended both workshops in Nuremberg emphasized how much workflows, software, and hardware have advanced in a short time. This edition is therefore not a simple repeat, but a substantially updated and expanded workshop.What to Expect:Introduction to modern 3D spatial captureCurrent Gaussian Splatting workflowsHands On Live scanningProcessing and optimization for real-time, web, and XR applicationsDiscussion with developers and XR specialistsA special focus this time is on bringing high-resolution scans onto standalone headsets. We will demonstrate optimization strategies and show how, using Level-of-Detail (LOD) systems, we successfully prepared complex datasets to run smoothly on a Meta Quest and Pico.Hardware Highlight: PortalCamThis workshop also features the PortalCam by XGRIDS.The device is optimized specifically for high visual quality in Gaussian Splatting workflows.
