We’ve created a monster. A very talented, slightly chaotic, probably carrying a ukulele kind of monster.
What started as a weekly comedy night has grown into something bigger, louder and far more interesting. There is so much talent in Merida that keeping this comedy-only started to feel greedy.
So, from this Wednesday onwards, Comedy Night evolves into OPEN ARTS.
Yes, there will still be brilliant comedians. We are not abandoning comedy. Nobody panic.
But now the stage is open to everyone.
Singer? Bless the pub with your vocals.
Poet? Come, make us feel.
Musician? Be our soundtrack.
Tap dancer? Honestly, we’re intrigued.
Got a talent that defies explanation? Even better.
This is a warm, welcoming, genuinely lovely community where people come to laugh, meet friends, cheer each other on and be part of something special.
Sign up starts at 7:30pm.
Show starts around 8ish. We operate on creative people time.
Bring your friends. Bring your talent. Bring your weird little hobby you’ve been hiding from the world and let it shine. We want to celebrate you.
This feels like the start of something very special for Merida’s arts scene and we’d love you to be part of it from the beginning.
Every Wednesday at Hennessy’s Irish Pub.
