Catchball is a women’s team sport similar to volleyball, but much easier—players catch and throw the ball instead of hitting it. It requires fewer skills and less physical effort than volleyball, making it safe and welcoming for women with a wide range of fitness levels.

Whether you have sporting experience or you’re a total beginner, you can join in at your own pace. Catchball also has a strong social focus, with teams often getting together for fun events. It’s a wonderful opportunity to exercise and make friends in a positive, inclusive environment.

We welcome new players at any time during the term.
Your first session is FREE. Term fees are $65, and casual sessions are $10. We play during school terms.

We have 3 teams, and you can join any of them. All teams are included in your term fee.

-Lyttelton team sessions are at the Lyttelton Recreation Centre (25 Winchester Street, Lyttelton) on Thursdays 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
-Eastside team sessions are at the Avon Hub Centre (77 North Parade, Richmond), on Tuesdays 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
-Papanui team sessions are at Graham Condon Centre (3 Sisson Drive, Papanui), on Tuesdays 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
