- **Event Description**: With lambing season approaching this could be one of your last chances before race day to test yourself out on the Diamond Harbour to Mt Herbert section of the 2025 53km Crater Rim Ultra event. 
 
20km with a 1000m summit 
 
Arrive at Gebbies Pass/ Summit Road junction (555 Gebbies Pass Road, Teddington, Christchurch 7672) at 7.25am then we squeeze into a few cars and drive to the Diamond Harbour Rugby Grounds to start.
Heading up Mt. Herbert to the summit, onto the undulating terrain and switchbacks behind Mt. Bradley until we have our sights on the Packhorse Hut from here, we work our way out through the plantations to finish back at Gebbie's Pass. 
This section is usually closed for lambing season from 8th Aug till 15th Oct. 
 
Please come prepared with drinks and nutrition. Maybe even fill your pack with the compulsory race kit and items you will need on race day - give them a test! 
Plan to be out on the trail for 3 - 4 hrs.  
 
Paces for all abilities, those signed up for CRU event are welcome, those on the 'signing up fence' are welcome, your friends are welcome, your family are welcome - Everybody is welcome!
