About Dr Jo
Dr Jo’s award-winning debut comedy show ‘Jo Ghastly- The Cool Mum’ toured extensively around Australia and NZ and had a successful season at Gilded Balloon Edinburgh Fringe in 2024. Jo’s second solo show ‘Cancer and cartwheels’ toured Australian and NZ comedy festivals in 2025 with sold out shows and great reviews. Jo has twice been short-listed for the prestigious Billy T comedy award.
Dr Jo has featured on TVNZ’s ‘Adam and Eve Show,’ The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show, The Project, Channel 9 Today Extra, ABC Weekend Breakfast, the AM show and TVNZ Breakfast, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Scotland TV Best Jokes Edinburgh Fringe.
