Get ready for a spooktacular evening in Uptown Centerville! On Thursday, October 23, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Uptown businesses will transform into festive trick-or-treat stops as part of the first-ever Uptown Shop or Treat Halloween event sponsored by altafiber and Fairy Godmother Events.

• Location: Uptown Centerville
Families are invited to stroll through Uptown, where local businesses will hand out candy and guests can meet with several characters provided by Fairy Godmother Events. Participating shops are encouraged to join in the fun—whether by simply offering sweet treats or by decking out their storefronts with kid-friendly frights and playful Halloween décor.
To kick off the evening, 200 children will receive complimentary trick-or-treat bags in front of Town Hall Theatre before setting off to fill them with goodies from Uptown merchants.
At 7:00 p.m., the fun continues at Town Hall Theatre with a community costume contest hosted by Fairy Godmother Events, followed by a lively performance from three ghoulish sister witches that’s sure to enchant and entertain audiences of all ages. Washington Township will then present a family-favorite Halloween film to close out the night in true autumn spirit. Seating for the movie is first-come, first-served to the first 200 people.
The Uptown Shop or Treat event is designed to celebrate community, support local businesses and provide families with a memorable Halloween outing. Participation is open to all Uptown merchants, who are encouraged to bring their most creative, whimsical or spooky spirit to the evening.
