- **Event Description**: Feeling sluggish after the festive season? Too much food … too much wine … too much time sitting around watching TV?

This beginner’s Hatha yoga class will help to promote the body’s natural cleansing process by massaging organs and flushing toxins.

Yoga poses that help detoxify focus on twists, forward folds, and inversions to stimulate digestion, improve circulation, and encourage lymphatic drainage - the process responsible for the removal of toxins from the body.

Key poses for this class will include a spinal twist - Half Lord of the Fishes Pose or Ardha Matsyendrasana - that compresses and massages abdominal organs such as the liver and kidneys, promoting toxin release and digestion.

We will also be practising Downward-Facing Dog or Adho Mukha Svanasana - an inversion that stretches out and energises the whole body. This pose also increases circulation and improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage.

Our breathing practice will be Three Part Breath or Deerga Pranayama - a deep breathing technique that acts as a pump for the lymphatic system and helps shift you from stress to calm.

All classes are for beginners and take place at Crescent Yoga Studio at St Anne’s Tennis Club FY8 2QH. The yoga studio is fully equipped so you don’t need to bring anything with you, unless you prefer to use your own mat and blanket etc. 

- Tuesday evening 1.5-hour classes cost £10.
- Thursday evening 1-hour classes cost £8.
- Saturday morning regular yoga 1.5-hour classes cost £10.
- Special Event Saturday morning and Sunday evening classes cost £25.
