Join us for a transformative beginner’s Moon Yin yoga class designed to help you unwind, restore balance and reconnect with your inner self.
This gentle yet profound practice is perfect for anyone seeking deep relaxation and renewal under the calming energy of the moon.
Moon Yin yoga blends the passive, long-held stretches of Yin yoga with the cyclical energy of the moon, focusing on themes like reflection, release, and intention-setting aligned with specific lunar phases:
- Full Moon happens on Saturday 3 January and used as the time for letting go
- New Moon happens on Saturday 18 January and represents a time for new beginnings
We will be looking at Chandra Bhedana or Moon Piercing Breath to activate and stimulate the lunar channel of the body and to connect to the lunar cycle and harness its restorative energy.
It’s a gentle, inward-moving practice using props, such as bolsters and blocks, to support seated and supine poses held for minutes, stimulating connective tissues while connecting to lunar wisdom for personal growth.
All classes are for beginners and take place at Crescent Yoga Studio at St Anne’s Tennis Club FY8 2QH. The yoga studio is fully equipped so you don’t need to bring anything with you, unless you prefer to use your own mat and blanket etc.
- Tuesday evening 1.5-hour classes cost £10.
- Thursday evening 1-hour classes cost £8.
- Saturday morning regular yoga 1.5-hour classes cost £10.
- Special Event Saturday morning and Sunday evening classes cost £25.
