- **Event Description**: Come along to AKS from 6.15pm for coffee and home made cakes, second hand bookstall, raffle and the chance to meet our speaker as we welcome Dr Ben Cartlidge (University of Liverpool) to the branch. 

Ben’s research interests are wide, from Greek comedy and Roman satire, to linguistics, reconstructing Indo-European languages, and exploring ancient drama – here he will show how cranes and the machinery of the stage brought ancient Greek theatre to life!

Tickets are available on the door for £5 a ticket, or free to members. If you’d like to become a member for just £12 a year (or £5 for students), please click here (https://lsaclassics.com/join-us/). We continue to offer online access to recordings of our lectures for members; if you would like online-only access, membership costs £5.
