Paediatric First Aid Blended Learning

About this course
Our Blended Paediatric First Aid course is a 12 hour course with 6 hours online. The online learning needs to be completed & passed before attending the practical date. The course is ideal for early years practitioners working with children aged 0-5 years. It meets the requirements of OFSTED for registered settings. The course includes getting help safely in an emergency, roles and responsibilities of a first aider, infection control, first aid kits, assessing our casualties, the recovery position, CPR, choking, drowning, shock, allergies and anaphylaxis, bites and stings, wounds and bleeding, suspected spinal injuries, breaks/fractures, head injuries, common childhood conditions and injuries such as asthma and diabetes, seizures/epilepsy, extremes of temperature, burns, poisoning and accident reporting. You will be continually assessed throughout the day through discussion and practical activities. There is no written assessment. Please be aware that you will be expected to complete 2 minutes of continuous CPR on the floor. Upon successful completion you will be issued with a Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years. E-learning access will be emailed to you following your booking.
