The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer

We will be reading Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer in celebration of Indigenous Heritage Month. All are welcome! We will have some treats to snack on while we discuss the book.

As Indigenous scientist and author of Braiding Sweetgrass Robin Wall Kimmerer harvests serviceberries alongside the birds, she considers the ethic of reciprocity that lies at the heart of the gift economy. How, she asks, can we learn from Indigenous wisdom and the plant world to reimagine what we value most?

Books have been ordered at the library and are available now at the Lynnfield Public Library.

This is a no pressure book club. Feel free to join whether you have read all, some or none of the book. We look forward to a fun evening and good discussion.
