- **Event Description**: The UUCL’s Executive Board contracted with the Rev. Leela Sinha, an ordained UU Minister based in Portland, Oregon, to facilitate a multi-module congregational leadership training workshop. The Rev. Sinha, a lifelong UU and UU minister working in community ministry, has developed the “Sinha Intensive/Expansive Framework” (SIEF). SIEF training, offered at the UU Ministers Association Institute this past January, is a specialized workshop designed to give UU congregations improved engagement with, and care for, people within the community, better support structures, and enhanced broad-based inclusion. SIEF training offers a methodology that, when effectively implemented, should improve volunteer recruiting, leadership development, hiring practices, and institutional decision making while honoring all people and meeting all present needs.

SIEF is a ‘whole of congregation’ training program that gives everyone an opportunity to participate. UUCL Leadership and the Ministerial Search Committee all had the opportunity to train with Dr. Sinha a few weeks ago. Now she is returning for the final module, open to the whole congregation. Participation is highly encouraged. 

Module ‘D’ is designed for the entire congregation and will be offered Saturday, April 25, 2026,
from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary and on Zoom.

In Module ‘D’ introductory material is presented, followed by Q&A and open discussion. Congregational leadership will be present throughout the module to hear the congregation and answer questions.

We are entering a new period in our congregation’s lifecycle, and the SIEF-based program is the important and challenging work we need to help strengthen our congregation while providing us all with new tools and perspectives.

Coffee/tea and refreshments will be provided. Child care is available upon request. Notify DLE Courtney Sinha (courtney.sinha@gmail.com) of child care needs by April 22.
