With a special focus on the batteau, join us to learn about amazing figures like the Rucker Brothers who first invented the unique watercraft, and Frank Padgett, the enslaved batteauman turned rescuer when a packet boat floundered in turbulent waters. And don't forget to come out to the James River Batteau Festival on June 20th!
