The speaker  will be Tom Harrison and the topic will be "A History of the Historic Lynchburg Church of Christ" .   The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome. Tom Harrison is the current pastor of the Lynchburg Church of Christ.  The Lynchburg Church of Christ building was the first permanent permanent Court House for Moore County from shortly after Moore County was formed until a fire destroyed it in 1883.  The present Church of Christ was erected in 1875.  One of the more noted preachers from this church was Thomas Shaw.  Members of this church were founders of the Life and Casualty Insurance Company in Nashville.  Members of this church had a profound influence on Lynchburg and Middle Tennessee.
