Nestled among the trees on council property at Sacajawea, Camp Firefly offers girls the chance to build confidence, explore the outdoors, and create lifelong memories. From canoeing and hiking to arts & crafts and campfire songs, every day is packed with fun and discovery.  Campers have the chance to sleep in cabins or platform tents with 3 other Girl Scouts. Earn a Camp Firefly fun patch, your summer camp progression patch showing your new outdoor skills and a Juneteenth fun patch at our all-camp celebration.

There are two options for Camp Firefly 2026, Overnight or Day Camp. Girl Scouts in rising 2nd-12th grade can attend overnight camp. Girl Scouts in rising 1st & 2nd grade can attend day camp.

Late Arrivals: Girl Scouts participating in the String of Pearls event on June 14 will have the option to arrive at Camp Firefly after dinner between 6:45-7:15 PM and still make it in time for our opening campfire. Please contact the camp directors at campfireflygsvsc@gmail.com if you plan to arrive late.

Summer Camp Financial Assistance
Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council awards financial assistance in increments of 25%, 50%, and 75% of the summer camp registration fee; for one summer camp session per year, per camper. It is the responsibility of the caregiver to ensure the remaining camp registration fees are PAID IN FULL by the camp registration close date. The camper must first register for her summer camp of choice and pay the required $10 deposit before submitting this application.
