Fancy hats and finery will be on display for Lyme Regis’s legendary Easter Bonnet Parade on Easter Sunday.
Creations of all shapes and sizes – from the simple but sweet to the hilariously outlandish – will be on show at this colourful annual extravaganza.
You’re invited to take part in the parade or simply come along and enjoy the spectacle as entrants proudly show off their imaginative designs.
The event is open to all ages, with prizes awarded for the most creative bonnets in each category:
0–5, 6–10, 11–16 and adults.
So grab the glue and get your creative juices flowing – you have until 2.15pm on Easter Sunday to complete your masterpiece.
Entrants should assemble in Pine Hall at Lyme Regis Baptist Church for judging at 2.15pm, with the parade starting outside the church at 3pm.
Led by the Lyme Regis Majorettes, the procession will travel down Broad Street to Cobb Gate, then along Cart Road and Marine Parade to the Jubilee Pavilion.
Find a spot along the route to watch the fun and, if you can, pop some change into one of the collection buckets – all proceeds go to local good causes.
