Lyme Lunge 2026

The Lyme Lunge, organised by the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis, takes place on New Year's Day at 1pm. First held in 2009, the annual fancy dress dip in the balmy waters of Lyme Bay raises money for local and national charities.

A paddle in the sea is enough to say you've 'taken the plunge at the Lyme Lunge'.

This year the beneficiaries will be The Rainbow Trust, providing emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness, and WellChild, which gives seriously ill children, young people and their families across the UK the best chance to thrive at home, plus Rotary Charities.
