Beca was born February 1, 1997 and diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis days after her birth. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Close to 40,000 people in the U.S. have cystic fibrosis, a rare genetic disease with varying severities. Rebecca and her family dealt with her disease every day of her life. Excelling advancements in treatment technology, thanks to organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, helped Rebecca and thousands of others better their quality of life.Rebecca Ratajczak grew up in Luxemburg with her parents, Dan and Angie Ratajczak, and her brother, Andrew Ratajczak. Through school at Luxemburg-Casco, Rebecca enjoyed her time in track and volleyball, excelled in art club, and was the loudest in the cheer section at games. She graduated from Luxemburg-Casco in 2015 and shortly after pursued her passion in the Architectural and Construction industry, obtaining her degree in Architectural Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.Tragically, Rebecca passed away on March 10, 2024 in a car accident. Her goofy charm, selflessness, and room-brightening smile will always be a part of so many people’s lives in our community. The Rebecca Rose Walk for Cystic Fibrosis is one of many ways we will continue her remembrance.
