PROTOJE’s hits include Who Knows, Rasta Love, Kingston be wise, Switch it up, Really like you... From his very first tracks, he quickly established himself as one of the biggest names in this style, and has maintained this position with ease, thanks to the singular artistic vision he applies to his reggae, which is tinged with hip-hop, soul, R&B, trap, dub and even rock... always surprising, authentic and ahead of its time. His unwavering talent has earned him several Grammy Award nominations and hundreds of concerts around the world and on the stages of the biggest festivals. Thanks to the creation of his collective The In.Digg.Nation, he has also played a major role in spreading the music of a whole new generation of Reggae Revival artists.
The last few years have been particularly prolific for Protoje, who is always on the lookout for cleverly thought-out concepts that go beyond the mere notion of an album.He began by releasing a trilogy of albums revolving around the idea of time: A matter of time, In search of lost time and Third time’s the charm, recorded in his home studio The Habitat, in the hills of Kingston. Each of these albums reflects a pivotal period in PROTOJE’s life, prompting new reflections and visions of the world, and personal and professional introspection as a man, father and artist.
