And this year, our open-air screenings are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Since 1986, the Cinémathèque has maintained a long-standing tradition of open-air screenings, held in a variety of iconic locations across the city: from the Cour des Capucins and the forecourt of the Grand Ducal Palace to the drive-in cinema on the Glacis, and today still in the heart of the capital. 

? Returning to Place Guillaume II, this year’s edition once again promises suspense, laughter and unforgettable moments as the iconic “Knuedler”, with its giant screen and unique atmosphere, is transformed into a cinema under the stars.

⛪ A new addition this year: the Cinémathèque will also be bringing the magic of cinema to Bonnevoie. On the charming Place Léon XIII, our screen will be set up for three convivial open-air film evenings.
