What is it?
A PoppIn is a gathering place where people come together to experience friendship, learning, support, and fun.
We use the ALF Peer Support values and principles to provide a safe, welcoming and harmonious space where we can all share, grow, and develop at our own pace, and amongst our peers who have travelled the path of recovery from life's challenges, and want to walk alongside others whilst coming along their own path.
As well as having experienced their own life challenges, our facilitators have qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Coaching, and Peer Support. We have connections with local businesses who will come to PoppIns from time to time to run workshops, share their knowledge and expertise, and offer guidance.
Who is it for?
Those who are: Recovering from Mental/ Emotional health challenges or Addictive behaviours, those who are wishing to return to meaningful occupation, those who have felt alone and wish to feel connected in a supportive community, or those who wish to volunteer within the local community.
Poppins are run fortnightly
