Retro Bloc is an old’ll-school style bouldering competition for all levels. In the first comp of it’s kind, we’ll blend modern holds with early 2000's style, while also testing competitors on taped climbs with retro holds. To compete, sign up online or at the front desk at Movement Timonium. Then, sign up on Kaya via an access code in your confirmation email and select your category based on redpoint grade: note that redpoint is the grade of your hardest completed climb.
Competition times will vary based on your selected category, as you will be placed either in wave one (11am-2pm) or two (3pm-6pm).
The novice competition category will not be separated by gender. Intermediate, Advanced, and Open category will each have categories for Female, Male, and Non-Binary. A Non-Binary category is dependent on at least 5 non-binary competitors per category, otherwise, climbers may compete in their preferred category.
Competitors will be scored by accumulation of points from their top 5 sends. Attempts will break ties.
Early afternoon Redpoint Round: 11 AM - 2 PM - NOVICE AND INTERMEDIATE

Evening redpoint round: 3-6 PM - ADVANCED AND OPEN
