FINDING YOUR PURPOSE – A CREATIVE IKIGAI WORKSHOP

In this immersive workshop, we invite you to explore your personal purpose through the lens of Ikigai – the Japanese concept meaning “reason for being.” Together, we’ll reflect, breathe, share, and create. Through a mix of guided journaling, breathwork, creative expression, and conversation, you’ll uncover what matters most to you and how it connects to your life path.
You don’t need to have it all figured out — just bring your curiosity and an open heart. You’ll walk away with your own Purpose Map, a visual tool that reflects your unique strengths, values, dreams, and direction.
Who is it for?
This workshop is for anyone in transition, seeking clarity, or curious about what it means to live and work with intention. Open to all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — no prior knowledge or creative skill needed. This workshop invites participants on an introspective and creative journey to reconnect with what truly matters to them. Based on the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai – "reason for being" – the experience combines guided reflection, breathwork, creativity, and collective sharing to explore each individual’s unique path toward purpose.
Structure & Flow
1. Arrival & Opening Circle
• Gentle breathing and grounding to land in the space
• Introduction to the workshop's intention and method
• Group agreements for respect, listening, and consent
2. Guided Breathwork Session
• Conscious connected breathing to open the body and focus the mind
• A short somatic awareness exercise to activate intuition and presence
3. Introduction to Ikigai
• Brief explanation of the four core dimensions:
o What do I love?
o What am I good at?
o What does the world need?
o What can I be paid for?
• Framing purpose as a living, evolving compass rather than a fixed goal
4. Personal Reflection & Journaling
• Deep dive into the four areas through curated prompts
• Participants explore values, memories, strengths, pains, and desires
• Time for free writing, sketching, or word-mapping
5. Creative Purpose Mapping
• Participants create a visual purpose map
• Using color, symbols, metaphors, and keywords
• This serves as a mirror of their current direction and potential
6. Small Group Sharing
• Participants form pairs or trios
• Guided questions for sharing what was uncovered
• Emphasis on active listening and non-judgmental witnessing
7. Integration Circle
• Closing round with reflections or one sentence about what they’re taking with them
• Option to share next steps or intentions
• Short visualization to seal the experience
Learning Outcomes - Participants will:
• Reconnect with their personal and professional purpose
• Understand the Ikigai framework as a tool for life transitions
• Gain clarity on their values, skills, and meaningful directions
• Experience the power of creative reflection and collective support
• Leave with a self-designed Purpose Map as a compass for further action

Ich bin Bengisu Berispek – Klima-Coachin, Projektleiterin und kreative Möglichmacherin. Als Ingenieurin, Facilitatorin und Gründerin verbinde ich Technik, Nachhaltigkeit und Soziologie mit Herz und Haltung.

Ikigai ist ein Tool, das mich bei der Sinnsuche stets begleitet.
