In this introductory class, we will cover a brief history, terminology, and types of needlepoint popular today. Participants will learn how to select fibers and the use of basic tools. Tips and tricks will be demonstrated that will be useful for new stitchers or those returning to the craft after a time away. 

During the class, participants will have an opportunity practice the three basic Tent stitches – half cross, continental, and basketweave - and when to use each. An instruction guide and supplies are included in the course fee.
