- **Event Description**: We will meet some of our native plant species that have a long traditional use as medicines and food. We will discuss how to identify and ethically harvest, as well as medicinal uses.

Enter from the Indian Path Road, at the LaHave River end. About a km before the road meets the river there is a small inlet and a dirt road that leads into the forest. There is parking for several vehicles, as well as on the roadside. We will walk up the road and take the pink trail on the left.

These woods are teeming with native medicinal plants such as partridge berry, mayflower, gold thread, wild sarsaparilla, lung lichen and usnea. If we’re lucky we may see lady’s slippers and mayflowers still in bloom.

Cost for this walk has been discounted to $20. Children and well mannered dogs may attend for free. Email wildeastherbals@gmail.com to reserve your spot.
