Are you interested in programming with applications to finance? Do you know Python?
Join us at the LINC-STEM Hackathon, a full-day event aimed at challenging Lund University students to create and deploy the best algorithmic trading strategy in Python. During the day, representatives from the participating financial firms will rotate among participating teams, offering advice and acting as judges at the end of the competition.
The day will begin with one-to-one sessions with firms for selected students, and the event will formally start with an introduction of the participating firms and an explanation of the metrics used to assess your strategy. Then static historical stock, bond, and commodity price data will be provided which you will analyze to create your algorithm. During the day, firm representatives will rotate among the teams and advise you on your strategy. Finally, you will present your strategy, and the judges will select the winning team.
Every selected student will have the opportunity to have a professional photo taken. Additionally, we invite all participants to a celebratory sittning in the evening at Kulturen next to AF-Borgen.
