Lula's 1st Chili Cook-off

Join the City of Lula and local organizations as we celebrate the Sesquicentennial with our first Lula Chili Cook-off at Lula Depot on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, from 1–4pm.

Chili cooks pay a $25 entry fee, must bring at least 2 gallons of ready-to-eat chili, and compete for four awards—Community Choice (voted by attendees) and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (chosen by special guest judges). Attendees donate a suggested minimum of $5 to sample all chilis and receive one drink; extra refreshments are available for purchase.

The event features a FREE kids’ zone, school projects and historical displays. All proceeds support the Lula Development Authority, Lula Ladies, and the Historical Society of Lula Bellton.
