FRINGE: Strange Meetings at Ludlow Assembly Rooms

Strange Meetings presents the later life of Wilfred Owen, beginning with his admission to Craiglockhart Hospital with shellshock, his auspicious meeting with Siegfried Sassoon, the resulting flourish of poetry, and his final and fatal battle in November 1918. A story of hidden strength and fragility, and drawing on the words used by Owen himself, this original piece of theatre is alive with the language and wry humour of the poet, and is told with both sincerity and pathos.
