You will leave the workshop with at least the kernels of two new original poems. About the Instructor: Born in Flint, Michigan, Steve Brown studied art in Detroit and Germany, where his essay collection Glänze, Gespenst! was published. He is the author of three poetry collections—Trample & Sew, News of Need, and Fellowship—and his essays and short stories have earned two Pushcart Prize nominations, appearing in Witness, Black Warrior Review, Tusculum Review, DIAGRAM, Dunes Review, and elsewhere. An award-winning visual artist and accomplished performer, Steve has also led a Kalamazoo-based charitable foundation dedicated to reducing poverty since 2017. Schedule & Registration: The workshop takes place on Saturday, September 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.
